RICH PEOPLE, MEAN PEOPLE?

Interesting article about scientific research that shows how money and status makes people less empathic, careless and more self center.

“the rich are way more likely to prioritize their own self-interests above the interests of other people. It makes them more likely to exhibit characteristics that we would stereotypically associate with, say, assholes.”

I guess as in everything a happy medium will do. The goal should always be to do what you love, to create, to live a meaningful life and to make money while doing this. If you don’t love anything and your only goal is money, status and power I can totally understand this research. You become a lonely soul with nothing to offer to the world, with nothing to save you, you see the world as you are and you behave like this, like an asshole! As the quote goes:

“there are people so poor, that the only thing they have is money”
